Accommodation

Rooms can be reserved at the RIE or university guesthouses on payment in advance (a deposit of 50% of the Rates) before November through RIESI (contact details given below).

Rates of Exchange fluctuate but currently  £1GB = 80.7735 Indian Rupees;
 $US 1=40.170 Indian Rupees

Temperature: Please note that in January, temperatures in Bangalore will be very pleasant and air conditioning will not be necessary.

Location
RIESI is in the South Western outskirts of the City. The hotels that we have listed are the ones closest to the campus. If you want to book the hotels independently, you could look at the following areas: Vijayanagar, Nagarbhavi, Raja Rajeshwari Nagar, Banashankari III Stage, Mysore Road – travel from these areas to the campus will take 25 to 30 minutes.

Traffic can be quite heavy in the city, so staying closer to the center of town could mean a lengthy journey to the venue, particularly in the morning. Sessions are likely to start at 8.30am.
